WHAT MAKES FFTW DIFFERENT?
Football for the World is an academy that welcomes everybody no matter where they come from, it's right in the name. Our focus is not only on creating better footballers, but also well rounded people.
All of our coaches are qualified through OSA/Canada coaching licenses/training and as an academy, we look to provide coaches who are non-parent coaches to provide the best training environments for all of our teams. We like to focus strictly on the football.
WHERE DO WE PLAY?
FFTW Academy is a registered club within the South-West Region Soccer Association under Ontario Soccer/ Canada Soccer.
In the Fall/Winter, we play in indoor leagues in the KW area and our competitive teams can play either locally or in the GTA.
In the summer, our teams participate in both the SWRSA & WRSL leagues depending on their age group and ability.
WHEN/WHERE DO WE TRAIN/PLAY MATCHES?
Our season operates from October 2025 to end of August 2026. Our grassroots teams train 2/3 times a week throughout the season and our youth competitive teams train 3 times a week.
We train locally in the KW regions at our own facility (The FFTW Hub), Bluechip Sports, Bechtel Park and Shark Sport Co.
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Our Technical Director is Alikhan Popat. Known as 'Ali' or 'Coach Ali' on the field, he holds his National B License with Canada Soccer and currently holds a FA Level 2 license in the UK.
Ali has been coaching at an elite and competitive level for almost a decade starting with a stint with Arsenal Football Club in London, England working with their community department, soccer schools, and development programs. Originally from Kitchener, Ali decided to make the move back home after his experience traveling with Arsenal around the globe and started Football for the World.
If you are looking for an academy with both a fun and intense training environment to develop your child both as a footballer and also as a person, FFTW Academy is for you.
For any questions about our teams or tryouts, please get in touch with us via email at info@fftwdevelopment.com or via phone at 226-978-1793.
We provide technical soccer skills training to youth in the Kitchener Waterloo Region since 2014.
